I like going to bakeries and getting egg tarts for 1 yuan each (I'll get 10 of them), then eating them all.

Also go to the shops where the locals eat those steamed rice noodles and congee for breakfast... The line ups are worth it.

I've had some of the best massage in Guangzhou as well. (Gf takes me to legit places only, no hanky panky)
Massage is so cheap and worth it over there. Get a foot soak, too!

Also the zoo is cool as well if you want to go to one of the best zoos. Places like that can only exist where labor is cheap.

As you can probably guess, I don't speak Cantonese. My girlfriend did all of the talking in GZ. All I know how to say is, "Ngo Mmsick teng Guongdongwa"

The water park and amusement park is located near the zoo as well so if you're into those, you're looking to spend a whole day there.

Yeah, check out the Chimelong attractions. Zoo, water park and circus.

Went a few years ago and a blast there!

At zoo...
Spoiler!

Just kidding... We were dining at a specialty restaurant. First come first served for cut of meats.

The alligator was braised. Kind of tasty, but very chewy. Like a tough chicken with thick skin. More white like a chicken meat than an ostrich.

Spoiler!

Looking for more hospitality related things to check out. Daytime I will be busy visiting factories and buying mass amounts of product for a project in Vietnam. In the evening would be looking for restaurants, clubs, bars, and lounges. Places with cool concepts, not necessarily expensive but to a high standard.

Alright, so I'm going to be in Guangzhou next week for one night.
I'm staying at the W Guangzhou, will be arriving there around 2pm and leaving the next day at 11am.

What are some of the things I should go see and do in the short time I'm there.
Where should I go to get a good authentic Cantonese meal?
Night life spots?
