These books have been going downhill for years. What were they $40 before? I really, really hate the fact they no longer sort their establishment by city - it's all jumbled together. I don't want to have to sift 100 pages of restaurants in the Fraser Valley, Coquitlam and Surrey so I can find places nearby.

Don't get me started on putting in restaurants that have closed for over a year. Who edits these things?

Still like the $5 off Safeway coupons though

Yeah, I bought mine last month for $19.00 with free shipping and second one 15 bucks with free mobile app activation on both copies. They wait till the schools get their chance to flog them (fundraising) then sell on-line afterwards. I was seriously thinking of getting the Seattle area one, since the US is my second home, lol.

At the back of the book there is an index that lists the coupons by city.

I've been buying them for the past few years and have been disappointed once again for 2014.

They used to be good value, but I think I'll just stick to groupon deals from now on.

Enjoy.

I got mine for free . IMO, the deals aren't that great unless you do a lot of traveling

nabs 12-31-2014 12:10 PM

:D Just used 6 coupons from last years book yesterday, lol. Well worth it.

Ordered.

A few things...

1.) It's in USD, so $20.15 will end up being almost $24 in CAD.
2.) They've had numerous promotions where it's been $19 for the first book since US Thanksgiving, so $20.15 actually isn't that great of a price.
3.) The books are getting worse every year, and the 2015 book is definitely even worse than the 2014. Doesn't even have Churchs Chicken anymore. :(

I bought a bunch as presents but still have a few left over. If anyone wants to pick one up from me, I'll give you guys a special price of $17. :)

That works if you know of the place you want to go though. If you want to browse nearby places its annoying as fuck :smug:

lol, what a useless book. 15 years ago there were some good values. best you can find now is shit like "spend $50 and get a free refill on your drink....worth $1.50"

Well, no... most of the restaurant offers are still buy one get one free type of deals... just I find the selection is not as good as it used to be.

I golf, take the wife out for dinner on date nights and have kids. Entertainment book is awesome for us.

Oleophobic 12-31-2014 11:36 PM

Make sure to go through ebates.com for cash back (currently 17.5%)
I got mine on Black Friday. $19 USD with 35% cash back from ebates, net cost was $12.35 USD. Not as hot now as the net cost will be $16.62, but still good.

MG1 01-01-2015 01:30 AM

Yup, went through ebates on Black Friday, too lol.

GabAlmighty 01-02-2015 02:16 PM

Not sure what everyone is saying useless for... Hell I usually make the money back by using just one pizza coupon haha.

I like it because it "forces" me to go for dinner at places I didn't know about or hadn't thought about going to.

Plus, it makes my parents happy when I bring one home.

you can goto their website and it will search for nearby places based on your location and you can refine your search categories there

They also have additional/duplicate coupons on the smart phone app.
