Agree. There are bad apples in every facet of life. However, if people kill other people because they are sensitive to what they consider insults against their religion, 100% of the blame goes on these nut jobs.

Crazy people that kill people "in the name of religion".

-from the article: 12 killed in shooting at French satirical magazine - CNN.com

A video taken by a journalist for the Premieres Lignes agency shows the gunmen shouting "God is great!" as they began the attack, Le Monde reported. They also cried, "We have avenged the Prophet

Related to the Muhammed cartoon?

This is the drawing Charb published in this week's issue:

It reads : "Still no terrorist attack in France", and the terrorist says "Wait, we have until the end of January to present our wishes"

The people who were killed for those who didn't know wrote for the Charlie Hebdo magazine that is well known for constantly making fun of Christians, Jews and Muslims. They were killed because of their cartoons basically..... Religion extremists at their finest.

Some more of their cartoons.

If Mohamed came back:
"- I am the Prophet, you idiot!"
"- Shut up, infidel!"

And yet it can be argued that religious fundamentalists are a better reflection of the true nature of the religion because of their literal interpretion of their scriptures and the time they dedicate. While everyone else claiming to be religious cherry-picks their religion to suit themselves. Fools all of them.

I don't think so. during WWII tons of rebels and guerillas were tortured horribly by the axis, and this only strengthened resolve and they publised more anti nazi stuff

To what extent will the Paris attack influence what you publish about Islamism?
Let me reiterate: If these attacks are the work of Islamists, then it makes satire even more relevant. Following such attacks, there should be more satire, and this will be the case for our magazine as well.

Their magazine has been attacked in the past, several times I believe, and recently, I read, they began printing cartoons mocking ISIS and it's leaders... while tragic.... this is like the drunk idiot in the bar that goes and picks a fight with a known murderer outta jail whose already kicked your butt before but you keep goading him... or a dumbass that jumps into a lions den at the zoo... all cases of the actor trying to 'prove a point'

People's gut wrench reaction is to blame religion but psychos/murderers/power hungry ppl, will always find an excuse or something to twist to justify their actions... be it religion, political/economic ideology, or even their victims (as stalkers do who believe their victims speak to them)

Feminists like to say a girl is never asking to get raped

If you are a 19 year old girl who is hot and wearing a skanky dress and you leave the club with a few strange dudes in their car after you've been drinking and you're alone, well... it is almost like knowing you live in a place full of extremists and you publish a magazine that basically exists to taunt the very people capable of mass murder

I wouldn't be afraid to publish a magazine that is nothing but Jesus Christ giving blowjobs captioned with anti-Christian messages because nothing would ever happen save for a few harsh words

Fuck if I were in Europe there is no way I would shit-talk muslims because they're so entrenched into the culture now that getting beheaded by death squads is becoming a real possibility. Remember this?

The Theo Van Gogh murder - Free Speech Martyr

I remember telling people 10 years ago that multiculturalism has made Europe a much less tolerant and comfortable place and people said I was Islamophobic! My dutch friends that taught me how to sell porn both had many dealings with Moroccan youth. Both said their fellow countrymen were blind idiots to how muslims have made Holland less safe, that lefty fucking retards are like a poison and are the true enemy.

BBC News - Dutch free killer of anti-Islam politician Pim Fortuyn

Lefty retard murdered an anti-immigration minister in 2002, Holland saw a massive increase in muslims during that time.

Didn't fix it very well.
99.999% of people are inherently good, have empathy, humanity, and love for others. Its a very small minority that fuck this world up for all of us with their greed, hatred and bigotry. All you can do to get by in this world is live your life, be good to others and hope terrible shit doesn't happen to you, and try and be prepared if it does. Life is just a crapshoot.

multicartual 01-07-2015 12:52 PM

I keep having re-occurring nightmares that death squads will start appearing in every country across the globe, acting independently while united by a global cause and coordinating through the Internet

Ulic Qel-Droma 01-07-2015 02:23 PM

lol it's already happening.

it's like anonymous. but allah version.

there's nothing wrong with the world. this is exactly how it's supposed to work, and it's always worked like this. since forever.

you can do whatever you want on this planet, you just have to accept all the consequences that could happen after.

there is no should, or shouldn't. there is only what will be done. cause and effect.

you taunt a vicious tiger, it'll attack.

now it's up to the french on how they wanna deal with those tigers. that's all there is to it.

Paris Attack Suspect Dead, Two in Custody - NBC News

Quote:

One of the suspects in the Paris attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine has been killed and the two others are in custody, two senior U.S. counterterrorism officials told NBC News.

Authorities identified the three men as Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, both French and in their early 30s, and 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad, whose nationality wasn't immediately clear.

StylinRed 01-07-2015 03:06 PM

cnn was just saying that the unarmed officer on the ground, that was executed by the terrorists, was pleading for his life and saying that he was a muslim too and "everything is okay brother"

edit: yet the news is saying they didn't kill everyone at the magazines office...they had a list of people and they weeded them out and shot them only :crazy2:

If some dude gets sick in the head and becomes obsessed with stalking or killing, that's one thing. It's not like he was being indoctrinated into thinking that things like killing for "honour" and jihads are just a part of life.

In one case, you have someone who is literally sick. In the other, you have thousands who are convinced to think a certain way, and act upon that.

StylinRed 01-07-2015 07:18 PM

^^^ agreed that wasn't meant to be an example for all types. What you provided is what I would classify as the power hungry who twist religion/etc to get their sheep into acting in a way that would benefit them (like the bin Ladens, the Al-Baghadi's, Hitler's)

The sheep would be a makeup of the mentally I'll, murderers, etc. As we've seen with the homegrowns in Canada as they were crack heads with mental illnesses who fell for those leaders' message

pastarocket 01-07-2015 07:26 PM

-wonder how the French are going to try to protect citizens from further terrorist attacks. It won't be easy with an estimated 5 million Muslims living in that country.

What if you have more people who also want to kill others in "the name of Allah" or an individual launching lone wolf attacks by killing him/herself and people nearby with bombs?

:heckno:

It could be argued that any extremist beliefs are a result of mental illness as well. Anyone who believes actions like this are the correct outcome has to be at least somewhat unbalanced upstairs.
