How Safe Is B.C.I.T Parking?

Sup guys. I'm going to b.c.i.t , and I keep hearing about cars getting jacked on a daily basis at bcit. How bad is the parking there? Is there secure parking somewhere nearby? I don't care about the money, I just want to keep Roxxy safe. My car is modded, not heavy. It is my dd/mountain road warrior/ track weapon from time to time. Would it just be better if I skytrain there? Or is it safe enough to bring my car everyday.

I use to park everyday at BCIT and never had an issue. Maybe there's higher theft rates in different lots?

Parked everyday for a year. Never had an issue and my car was parked in the gravel lot pretty much 12+ hours a day. Usually I would be the last one out of the gravel lot when they close the gate off Canada way and make you go to the smaller street to exit. If someone was going to steal a car, it probably wouldn't be yours, based on all the possibilities unless you give them a reason to break into it such as leaving valuables out in the open.

If your car is bone stock you should not have a problem but if it is modified take transit.

There are many cars more modified than his car that park at BCIT and have no problems. Not a very valid argument.

All the pics I posted are from a year ago when I first got my car and it was completely bone stock. I don't want to post a part list, but lets just pretend my car is heavy modded with 10k+ put into building it.

I have heard from my friends that 3 cars used to get tampered with a day, I want to put an aftermarket security system but I won't have enough cash for what I want till Summer.

if you are worried, just take transit. the ride may suck, but getting your car messed sucks more.

And prior to that drove a slightly modified cicic parked there for 3 years of part time night school and never a problem

Had a black DC5-S when I was going to school there. Pretty much bone stock and had someone busted the passenger side keyhole once. Did not manage to break into car tho.
Parked at the student lot behind SW9

I parked during the daytime, 5 days a week without any problems @ The electrical (east) parking lot.

But then again, I drive a 2010 Suzuki SX4.

I wouldn't worry too much, there are always students smoking weed and keeping six on Wayburne.
