Potato Chips

I'm a huge chips fan
Love chips
Wanted to start a thread on any deals on chips after your run from the supermarket

What prompted me to start this thread was when I went to price smart today and My routine fly by at the chip aisle
And kettle chips were on sale for 2.50
(Kingsway and king Ed location)

Let's help all the chip lovers out there and find some good deals
Thanks

Dude, superstore sells the presidents choice (their house brand) and they have a line called "loads of" potato chips. Such as "loads of ketchup" or "loads of creamy dill". There is another presidents choice chips that are more "gormet" like bleu cheese and Buffalo and other smokey rib flavours.

a++++++, would always choose them over a popular brand like lays etc

Thought there was a thread about potato chips already lol...

Edit: found the thread but having trouble pasting the link with my one plus one...

As weird as it is to say, PC has some great chips. The Loads of Sour Cream/Onion and Loads of BBQ are my favourite for those particular flavours here in Canada. They used to have a "Loaded Burger" flavour that's since been extinct, but omg that was the best flavour of chips I've ever had. They also had a Tandoori flavour (also extinct) which was basically a spicy BBQ. Probably the second best flavour I've ever had.

It really makes me sad that they've since stuck with "safe" flavours like loaded baked potato, "stampede" bbq, etc etc. Their "odd" flavours were some of the best out there. And it's the reason I haven't bought a PC bag (or any bag of chips) in a long time.

PC has great chips...but, there is still nothing like a good bag of Old Dutch Salt and Vinegar or Ketchup!!!

I like Mr.pringle chips because they are in a bottle. If I don't finish it I can just close the lids.

I'm craving for some asian brand chips.

Calbee seaweed flavoured chips. They're usually on sale at that Asian store inside Landsdowne Mall.

The issue I have with Asian chips is that the bag is always so tiny. A few chips and is all gone -_-

The Kettle Chips salt and vinegar is the best ever, I always get a bag when I hit the grocery store

m3thods 01-21-2015 09:29 AM

For you kettle chip fans (I'm not one personally, but I'll still eat them!)- have you tried these?

My fiancee loves kettle chips, and these are her favourite. I have to say, they are really good and it's hard for me to put them down.

pherio 01-21-2015 10:34 AM

Grew up with Old Dutch Ketchup, never liked any other Ketchup flavors though.

As for Kettle Chips, it'd be nice to have the same flavors as the "regular chips"

Cactus cut potatoes @Boston Pizza are pretty good depending on the guy making them.

Godzira 01-21-2015 10:44 AM

fuck you guys my mouth is watering for some Doritos Cool Ranch and Jalapeņo Miss Vickies
