Good luck on that. Local asparagus is a 2-3 week window during the early summer.
The rest of the time, it is from Peru, Aust, NZ, Mex, Calif, or Washington.

Not a lot of people grow it commercially locally.

Meant to say closer than Mexico, like when it's from Washington state it's not that expensive.

What do you think is the most important thing people spend their money on?
People need food more than iPhones and gas.

Most things food wise (grown not manufactured) will be going up in price if they haven't already. Doesn't just have to do with our weak dollar but also what is happening in the world.

California had most of it's production cut almost in half last year because of the drought. They're one of our big suppliers for vegetables and nuts. And this is happening all over the world.

some hedge funds must have decided to buy in to oil today, will probably correct itself by the afternoon/tomorrow or they got inside info and are pouncing on it... both likely

Americans are getting stronger. Twenty years ago, it took two people to carry ten dollars' worth of groceries. Today, a five year old can do it. -Henny Youngman
