Guess you don't value your skin :rukidding: Love the orange though |
Great project - but I can't like a post where you are wearing a t-shirt. |
Depends what I'm doing. I just finished work and had to go pick up my bike before the shop closed. If I'm out for a ride then I wear my jacket but if I'm just going to work or running errands I just wear helmet and gloves. I want to get better gloves and helmet soon. Soon good shoes as well. Sometimes it's so bloody hot here that I just say fuck it. http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...psvemhxsrb.jpg Need it install my power commander. Is it recommended to get a tune right away once I plug it in? http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...psmuryxmht.jpg |
All the gear all the time |
Ya I really should. My cbr 150 that I learnt to ride on. Good bike to learn on. Only had it for about 2 months and then sold it. http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...psc9625b6f.jpg My next bike was a CBR 400. This thing was a nightmare. Money pit. Sold http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...s9ccdaf22.jpeg After was a VFR 400. Great looking bike but also needed maintenance every week. http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...psk4xesvvf.jpg It's nice having fuel injection now. The 929 has been pretty trouble free. Changed the battery and fixed some bad wiring but that's about it. When I apply the front brakes I am noticing that the front dives down, like spongy. Bushings? Struts? |
Thailand heat is like next level. Isn't it hot with jeans LOL |
Ya it's quite intense. Especially when you factor in the heat from all the cars when you get stuck in traffic. It feels like you are in an oven so sometimes it's safer to compromise protection. If I'm too hot I get complacent. |

When was the last time the shocks were serviced? Maybe the shock oil needs to be replaced? Did you get the compression and rebound adjusted to match your weight? |

Make sure your bike is properly sprung for your weight. Racetech's website will tell you what your stock spring rates are if you look up the model, make and year of your bike. Check if your stock fork springs are sprung too lightly for you. *edit* searched it up for you http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/2/...0Blade/2000-01 your stock springs are .7kg/mm stock, use the spring rate calculator in the link to see what racetech recommends, remember it is calculated using your weight with gear When was the last time your fork fluids were replaced, worn out fluids will not provide properly suspension functionality when travelling through the valves. At this point if you have to go this far, I would just do this step and the above step together (if your stock forks are indeed too softly sprung for you). Be sure to replace the fork seals and dust boots while you have everything disassembled. The fork seals and dust boots are $60-80 in parts, majority of the money is going to be spent on labor at this point. Don't want to reuse old seals (most likely you still have the original seals and dust boot) only to have them leak in the next while. The rubber on the oil seals and dust boots get old over time which result in drying and cracking. |
I've never had the suspension set up for my body or even serviced to be honest. I'm bringing the bike in for brakes so I will do what you recommended. I was reading about auto tunes ill see if I can get find one. I don't have the cable for the PC. Can I use a generic one or does it need to be specific? Thanks for the comments. |
I believe a generic cable is fine. My bike came with a PCIII installed and the cable in the box looked like a generic cable. |
