Depends what I'm doing. I just finished work and had to go pick up my bike before the shop closed. If I'm out for a ride then I wear my jacket but if I'm just going to work or running errands I just wear helmet and gloves. I want to get better gloves and helmet soon. Soon good shoes as well. Ya I really should. My cbr 150 that I learnt to ride on. Good bike to learn on. Changed the battery and fixed some bad wiring but that's about it. When I apply the front brakes I am noticing that the front dives down, like spongy. Bushings? Struts? |

Ya it's quite intense. Especially when you factor in the heat from all the cars when you get stuck in traffic. It feels like you are in an oven so sometimes it's safer to compromise protection. If I'm too hot I get complacent. |

At this point if you have to go this far, I would just do this step and the above step together (if your stock forks are indeed too softly sprung for you). Be sure to replace the fork seals and dust boots while you have everything disassembled. The fork seals and dust boots are $60-80 in parts, majority of the money is going to be spent on labor at this point. Don't want to reuse old seals (most likely you still have the original seals and dust boot) only to have them leak in the next while. The rubber on the oil seals and dust boots get old over time which result in drying and cracking. |
I've never had the suspension set up for my body or even serviced to be honest. I'm bringing the bike in for brakes so I will do what you recommended. I was reading about auto tunes ill see if I can get find one. I don't have the cable for the PC. Can I use a generic one or does it need to be specific? Thanks for the comments. |
I believe a generic cable is fine. My bike came with a PCIII installed and the cable in the box looked like a generic cable. |
