2006 civic rear brake pad squeler / sensor pin

Hey all

Was doing a quick diy on my 06 civic rear brakes. Changed out the pads but after putting it all together I realized I placed the inner pads with the squeler possibly incorrectly. The squeler pin is at top of the pad and not bottom. Will this be a big deal as the pads wear away ?

What I think may happen is the squeler pin will break off as it hits the rotor. ??

Ideally, the squealer would drag along the rotor.

squeel tab is supposed to be installed at the leading edge of direction of the rotor. Thats the edge that wears a bit faster than the other end. As long as the calipers are good working order, the tab will still hit the rotor, but when the pads are worn down a bit thinner than usual.
If it were my car, i wouldn't worry about it. Some aftermarket pads don't even have squeel tabs.
Even if the pads were right side up, the tab can still break off, its been scraping the rotor for a while. I've seen it happen
