1,500hp Koenigsegg Regera

New king of the hybrid hypercars? I'm not a fan of the looks of the car (I prefer the Agera or the One:1 more) but those "bio-hazard" looking wheels look very nice.

Pretty crazy looking. I like the Koenigsegg line up of cars. Probably because the streets of Vancouver aren't flooded with them.

0-248 mph in less than 20 seconds and single-speeder that's scary

yea the new single "gear" tranny is quite interesting, very curious to see what some driving reviews say about it

I wonder why they still put V8 in it?
Compare to electric motor, internal combustion engines are very inefficient. 70% of power generated are simply converted to heat as energy loss due to friction and all that. Not to mention carrying V8 + transmission + fuel tank + exhaust + turbocharger + everything else is very heavy and space consuming.

Just follow the path of Tesla/Fisker once it gets to that level.

Why is the Porsche 918 a V8?
Why is the McLaren P1 a V8?

I wonder why Ferrari put in a V12 when these extra cylinders are just too heavy and space consuming.

Didn't Fisker go bankrupt?

I think Koenigsegg finally going to redesign the entire car. It's 2015 so it's about time. Because I believe the every single Koenigsegg lineup was just modified CC8S. Including Agera R or ONE:1.
