4x4 meet?

is it time for us revscene misfits/outcasts to have a small meet up trail run?

gonna have to be stock friendly so that everyone can come join the fun.

May I join as a passenger please? I'd like to see what's it's like if the meet is before I get a truck. Never really gone wheelin' before

i figured we can do the heavy lifting (i.e. planning) here and then post in the social meets area where it'll get more traffic.

i'm thinking a squamish/elaho run again.

it'll be stock doable and even CUV's should be able to participate in the run which would be great for exposure.

right now i think in terms of planning we would need.

-gprs/gmrs radios (cause not everyone will have CB/HAM)
-atleast 2 trucks with winches (incase something goes south)
-someone with a higher level of first aid and kit(either occupational or first responder)
-guys with recovery equipment (straps, shackles, jacks, etc)
-bbq and camp stoves (for lunch)

it'll be nice to start the day at a rallying point. everyone meets up, we go over ground rules and safety (i.e. distance between trucks, etc) then hit the trail.

while on the trail we can stop at nice view points, for photos and what not finishing up with a communal lunch. the guys with the built rigs can branch off and hit some of the more technical stuff while the stockers and noobers can return back to civilization.

a demo of how some of the equipment works would be nice too, such has how to safely use hi-lift jacks, winches, recovery straps, etc.

thoughts?

My gf and I both have level 2 first aid (mines expired but I'm not dumb now) so that helps.

R&R 03-14-2015 11:04 AM

Please make it on a weekend pls pls pls

T4RAWR 03-14-2015 11:11 AM

it would have to be on a weekend for sure. thinking a nice saturday coming up would be perfect.

i think 10-15 vehicles will be manageable. anything beyond that and we'd need to split into two runs imo because its hard to keep a convoy on FSRs

Altoids94 03-14-2015 12:24 PM

Me and buddy would be interested as long as it's the weekend.

stewie 03-14-2015 05:14 PM

ill be driving by then, so i wouldn't mind going.

even if i were to just go as a passenger id be fine as well, I've my FR3, I'll mend ya'll up

Got, got, not, got, got.

I have a VHF and CB in the Jeep, and a handheld VHF/UHF with FRS/GMRS channels programmed. I can talk to EVERYONE.
