Police Speed Guns So what kind of speed guns are the police in and around Vancouver using? Are they on laser now? And whats the best way to detect? |

Most police officers in the Lower Mainland use LIDAR now, as it is more accurate and harder to "jam" than radar. There are devices that can detect LIDAR, but due to the nature of the LIDAR beam (very precise and directed), they don't work very well. Not to mention LIDAR gives a near-instant reading, which means that by the time your detector goes off, the officer already has your speed reading and slowing down would be pointless. I'd personally just *gasp* not speed, and not have to blow hundreds of dollars on a detector that probably won't save me and save money/points on speeding tickets to boot. |
AL Priority AntiLaser - Best Laser Jammer Canada - KMPH.ca Read up on it, its not easy to defeat and the systems that work are very expensive....cheaper to just not speed. |
You have to be getting a lot of tickets to justify the cost of a system that works, and even then it doesn't guarantee you won't get a ticket, it just helps you avoid a laser ticket. |
