My house was in a commercial!

Very cool to see the ad now that it has been released.

Scouting agent stopped by the house about 2 months ago and offered a sizable amount of money to use the driveway for filming for 1 day. The whole process was very cool. The dropping of the concrete block on the Mazda CX-7 was quite the site. Interesting to see it now with the CGI added and address changed. The whole neighborhood was out watching during the day. Wife is home on mat leave so it was cool for her to see it all go down. 2pm drinks with the neighbors!! The production company was very professional and accommodating. Full clean up afterwards. No hassles, no problems.

Sweet! I had a film company interested in my house for a weekend.. I think it was for the TV show Psych. Sadly they chose another house. Would have been cool to see it on TV. Not to mention the amount of $ they offer up, plus hotel + per diems etc.

Now your place is "on file" as well, they might come back if your home fits certain criteria in future.

duy- 03-21-2015 10:53 AM

instead of taking the money, demand that you star in the commercial instead

Yes.

that's pretty sweet for a days rental, any damage to your driveway?

GLOW 03-21-2015 03:03 PM

spideyv2 03-21-2015 03:19 PM

I have a black couch someone can use if they're interested in shooting any vids

PM me for decent rates

white rocket 03-21-2015 04:13 PM

No damage to anything at all. They gave us a damage deposit as well at the beginning. By 6pm everything was clean and they even swept my garage floor. If anything my house was cleaner. Easiest money my wife has ever made. Would love to do it again.

tiger_handheld 03-21-2015 05:18 PM

are you the fat guy in the video?

SuperChomely 03-21-2015 05:21 PM

I had a tv show filmed in my house about 6 years ago. The show as called Blood Ties, and they damaged a bunch of our walls and the floor in our kitchen. They payed for the damages but I guess that's show business. I still was nice seeing a bunch of crown vics running around my my neighborhood with their lights on as part of the filming.

punkwax 03-21-2015 07:00 PM

Cool! One of my close friend's cousins had a house in N Van if IIRC that X Files rented for weeks back in the day.. think they paid 50k or something crazy like that. That would be sweet.

When I lived/worked on Bowen Island there was a Shaw commercial being filmed at a mansion/oceanfront cottage nextdoor to where I was repairing a hottub. There was a fully catered tent outfront and I was invited to all the food I wanted. Those people eat well and there was eye candy everywhere.

People get into film because it is full of people willing to fuck their way up the ladder

Casting couch started in Hollywood, not porn

All those guys at bars buying girls drinks and paying PUA guys for lessons when directors and producers fuck tons of hopefuls who give their bodies away for free just for a chance...
