| what is this cord connecting from my engine?
Took off my bumper, saw this cord that was not in use just wrapped along the radiator. Why is there a three pronged plug in a car?

Something along the lines of keeping engine warm in extreme winter conditions while you (driver) is away.

Not much use in the lml but if you were from the interior or places like Edmonton/Calgary it would be pretty common to see.

My old 3 series didn't start at -10 when getting cold soaked for a few days without plugging in. Haha. Vancouverites are so sheltered sometimes. It just means you live in an amazing place and no need to leave haha.

Not only do I have a block heater but also battery heater and oil pan warmer. When it's -40 its tough on your vehicle. Especially if you have a Diesel.
