booting windows

so i can only load windows from the boot menu. it doesnt load automatically. i went into bios to choose bootup but it doesn't seem to show up. but when i boot it from boot menu, windows loads perfectly fine. This only started happening today. How do i fix this?

just added a sata cable for my optical drive. but removed it as it didn't really fit properly in. So my whole desktop is exactly the same it was yesterday. I didn't download or install.

my mother board is MSI z87 g45

there should be options to setup your priority drive to boot.

choose the drive with windows install as your primary boot drive.

Your problem lies in your UEFI (aka BIOS) settings. There is nothing wrong with your hardware, software, or cables.
