Private Chef suggestions?

Anyone know of chefs that they can recommend for a "private chef" for a one time event?

I'm trying to find a chef for a birthday event for a friend who enjoys cooking/food and I'm trying to find a chef that will cook either at their venue or I can provide a venue and explain their process, what they're doing since the birthday boy enjoys this kind of stuff.

I did search Google for personal chefs but most of them seem to be just for food prep type chefs. (while I'm looking fore for a one time event) Timeline would be this weekend, which makes it a little short notice.

Don't really have a set budget so we're open to suggestions. The last guy we had asked (but bailed) was quoting about $80-100 pp (and there will be about 10 of us)

You can try NFA, but he's likely already booked

Aw, man. Too late. Had the event last weekend. We ended up using a place called Kitchen Riddles in Burnaby who were actually pretty decent but I'll keep you in mind if we do something like this in the future.

Haven't really thought about that yet but I'm leaning towards Italian/BBQ appetizers
