help on speakers

recently my car speaker has been popping at certain bass notes, pretty sure I need new speakers.

just wondering if you guys could help me out on this as to which brand would be best for me and if I should run it with an amp or not. I remember my old car had JL components and they sounded very nice. the vocal was crisp and clear, I loved it. mainly looking for something like that.

also, if anyone has a site that can tell me what size speaker my car has, I cant seem to find it.. or maybe i m just not looking hard enough.

cars a 05 c55 mercedes.

Seeing that you don't seem to be too familiar with audio stuff in general, I think the best course of action to go about resolving your speaker popping issue is to pay an actual physical visit to the RS AV sponsor -- SoundsGood Auto Services -- and get Mike from Sounds Good to figure it out. What you have to do in this case is, figure out a budget that you are comfortable with spending, ask for and listen to several different options that Mike lays out for you, and just pick one that you are most comfortable with.

Cman is right.
We have lots of experience with these cars but more importantly, musical tastes and each set of ears is quite subjective. I could tell you to go with speaker 'A' because they sound good but you might disagree with me.

We have 13 sets of component speakers on our massive sound display and they all sound different. If you have a few minutes and you would like to hear YOUR music on our speakers then you should pay us a visit at our Coquitlam location.
