I'd avoid the 30 foot pool as it is full of teenagers, rather the pool at Twin Falls is quieter and better for lounging around and relaxing. Holy SHIT it was so nice!!!

I hiked that 2 weeks ago, I took that 4 hour trail to the middle of nowhere wearing nike frees. I twisted my ankle and felt ok(I would learn later it was probably adrenalyn and fear of being stuck on top of the mountain) and kept going for 2 km and 4 km back through the easier path by the river. I drove home and took my shoes off and didn't walk for 2 days as my foot was was blown up and swollen. Moral of the story, it is a nice hike but wear proper foot wear if you are going to do the actual hiking trails.
I lived in Costa Rica for a year and drank the tap water
Down there, some of the creeks and rivers were so polluted that they could have 20-30 feet thick of scum floating on top depending on the pollutants dumped upstream! I only ever witnessed a couple feet thick of scum on one of the local rivers but our nicaraguan grounds keeper Dennis would claim it could get "diez metros" deep!!!
Back then I had no real desire to do photography otherwise I would have a gallery of all the various colours of water you could find. Some of the creeks were so polluted it looked more like used cooking oil flowing than water. The poor people would regularly bathe in, and some would even DRINK that water. No shit. The first time I saw the ultra-poor doing that I nearly vomited.
Lynn Canyon water is probably 100 times cleaner, no fear in drinking it.
Too bad it isn't about flipping cars to lose money, I'm really good at that.

I would really urge people to think twice before diving into the Lynn Canyon pools. Neck / back / spinal injury is not something any of us wants to deal with, especially if it is avoidable.
Yes.. definitely one of the most dangerous places to cliff jump.
Check out Kawkawa Lake for some safer cliff diving.
first jump was okay, second jump i had to traverse some pretty sketchy/wet terrain to get to a cliff. if i slipped and fell i definitely would've needed a helivac lol

I'm 37, just jumping into the water on a rock 1 meter above the surface is good enough for me. Besides, it is the company that matters more!
The people who get hurt and die are pretty much always attention whores who are drunk and climbing up sketchy-as-fuck routes that make the west face direct route on K2 look like a gentle incline
^^ I agree. I was just hiking at the Lynn Canyon & Rice Lake area recently, and there was no shortage of fun and safe places for diving. There are definitely pools that are deep, and cliffs that are easy to climb and jump off from -- some of them are easily 5m+ high, and I dare say that is plenty exciting for this old fart here. There were lots of people climbing, diving, and having fun at those places.
All we really need to do is to think twice and gauge how safe it is to do what we are planning to do.

That's hard to do if you are young and/or clouded by alcohol.

When I was young and/or clouded by alcohol, I tend to prefer engaging in another kind of physical activity where the opposite sex is involved. I'd say that is a lot more thrilling than jumping off a cliff or diving into a cool, refreshing pool.

Yeah but in the summer, sex gets pretty gross. Seriously, without AC, why have sex more than a couple times in the morning? You'll just have to have another shower.
Man, it is nasty when you're just dripping with sweat, I mean, once per day is fine by me when the weather is like this. In winter it is much nicer to make love to the girlfriend 4-5 times a day without the puddle of sweat.
Shit, if you hit the gym a few times hard per week AND bang the girlfriend in this weather, you're looking at a minimum of 3 showers per workout day.
