Nazem Kadri is from an ethnic minority and the only merit he receives is from what he earns.
I think in the next twenty years we'll see a lot of minority hockey players from second and third generation Canadians. The only thing they'll be labeled as when they play are Canadian born hockey players.

Kadri is my gf's favourite and one of mine as well. We see him for the player he is, not his off-ice identity and often forget unless HNIC brings up his father's love of the game. What helps that the most is that he doesn't wear his identity on his sleve like Tim Tebow or even Reimer. He just goes out there and works hard.
