Saying Thank you to BC Firefighters

With busy schedules, it's easy to forget that while we are working, playing, and sleeping, brave men and women are working around the clock fighting forest fires throughout BC.

This is especially important in the current hot and dry conditions.

This thread is to say a hearty and mighty THANK YOU to all the fire fighters throughout BC whether they are fighting forest fires or residential fires.

Thank you!

First and foremost, please stay safe while fighting the fires.

You can say thank you publicly here:

I posted one just minutes ago (for review first).

Was just thinking this yesterday. Serious business being a firefighter in general, let alone right now in BC. I believe Tegra_Devil is one of these brave men.

Thank you for your courage, relentless work ethic and bravery.

luckily i am not a wildland firefighter. Those guys are some of the hardest working guys I have ever met. Whether they are rapattack, initial attack, or mop up. those guys have some of the best work ethic i have ever seen. It takes a lot of courage to be in the bush with these huge, fast moving blazes. I get fully geared up, and they usually just have nomex pants and a shirt with a pulaski. fires move a lot faster than you can run

im just a city firefighter, we dont have to work as hard as those guys :P

i did wildland for 2 years in the okanagan, my hats off to them. Best of luck and come home safe.

Mad props to the OP.

Even bigger appreciation and love for all the firefighters keeping our Province safe by going into the belly of the oven and risking their lives while the rest of us complain about traffic getting to the outlets and that it's a little bit warm and uncomfortable when trying to sleep.

Big ups for these guys. Pretty sure without their hard work, there's a good chance the McLure-Barriere fire in 2003 could have made it to destroy our cabin. Hope I never have to rely on them.
