It was limited release. Doesn't come out until the 9th I think. You can download it though since it got leaked online. Probably leaked from award season copies.

just about everything except for Star Wars was leaked online, dvd screener wise as there was hd-cam versions of star wars a day before it was even available in NA

This movie should have been filmed on 70mm! so many great vistas

Also, Tom Hardy outperformed Leo in this imo

8/10

I also found Tom Hardy had a strong showing. Going into the movie I wanted to be blown away, but it just didn't stack up for me.

Was actually disappointed with it. Leo was great in it, but it won't win him any awards.

Would not watch again.

I've seen most of his movies more than twice.

I actually didn't really like the movie. Thought it was slow and boring. Acting from leo and tom were very good though.

^^^...i felt more like that about hateful 8 than this film, now that was slow with tons of talking....both felt like a western but i enjoyed the whole winter theme going on in this film with the entertaining action scenes.

it's a mix and match. the filming was super pretty and you got to FEEL how cold the entire movie was (theaters versus watching it at home), whereas the hateful 8 was more like problem solving...

i mean, there were scenes i was like HOLY FUCK in the Revenant (cold water freezing etc) but definitely not for hateful 8

Finally opens here on Friday

It's been killing me having to wait for this and Hateful Eight to open here! These are the two movies I've been looking forward to probably even more than Star Wars!

I really surprised you haven't watched them at home since the copies that are out are 100% perfect.

Watched it last night, I guess I'm in the minority but I've never 'truly enjoyed' these Oscar'ish type movies. The acting from both Leo and Hardy were amazing, but the movie much longer than I felt was necessary.
I fell asleep in many of these "great" movies... Lincoln, Gravity, The King's Speech to name a few.
I am actually 100x more stoked for Deadpool lol.
I guess for me personally, "enjoying" a movie is watching fun entertainment for a couple hours and walk out with a stupid grin on my face.

Did anyone else feel that Leo watched a lot of Bear Grylls from Man vs Wild beforehand?
Spoiler!
