Water filters

Ive been using Brita filters for years and It just struck me today how dirty the inside of the container is. Those little black and yellowish minerals are all over the bottom or probably floating around in the container.
I havent gotten sick from it yet or not sure what the long term side effect will be so I'm looking to change my whole system and wondering if anyone knows of any other better alternative to this cheap-o water filtration system.

Looking for something heavy duty or best in the market.

any suggestions?

Thanks!

Honestly you'd be fine with tap water living in a the lower mainland

Filtration systems take out the bacteria but also the minerals (good)

I don't know if anyone's noticed but that's why Dasani water advertises "demineralized water" written on it as if it's a good thing

I try to balance and drink tap water when I'm at work and filtered water at home that's connected to my faucet (think they also have separate machine hose connected to faucet)

It's heavy duty and probably one of the leading ones in the market (filter change every 6-12 months) I'll find the name and price/catalogue if I can contingent you're still interested
