AK autoworks. how are they.

2013 rdx white got broken into couple nights ago. They busted up the driver side lock and key the driver door rear seat door and rear panel. One long line.

Looking to bring it down to AK for the icbc claim. Do they do good work. They be able to fix it up to its previous condition. Colour match pretty good?

Or any other suggestion in the Burnaby area?

They got overspray ALL over my friends $65k bmw and when he brought it back one of the owners made the painter come out and berated him right there in the parking lot, after "trying" to clean off the overspray the car was swirled to shit and the car is white
Also got jerked around on the rental

I thought they did a good job on my 2010 Suzuki SX4. Someone else on RS recommended me to go there...

-I got t-boned right below the front passenger door. I was not at fault for this one.
-Also had a bad key scrape on the front corner of my hood. Vandalism, so I paid for this deductible.

I couldn't tell that there was previous damage after they were done.

For my cheap black car I would say they did a fantastic job. I am a poor and humble human being, so I can't say how they do for fancy cars with owners with a sharp eye.

If they do a good job, I would rather give my money to small business than to millionaire billionaire companies with a hundred different branches.

I've had two cars repaired there and thought they were top notch.

I also got some work done there (although this was nearly 10 years ago) and they returned my civic in the cleanest state it's ever been in. Repair was excellent.

Brought my 2003 20th anniversary GTI there long time ago. My hood and front bumper was damaged from a accident. Instead of giving me back the actual 20th anniversay front lip they swap it to a stock 2003 front lip.

Not my car but to show the differences.

So from this

to this

Told them about it and they just said they can't do anything blah blah blah. I didn't bother pushing them about it because i was planning to change the front lip later on. But still is pretty shitty they didn't check the difference before ordering and installing. Doubt they even check the part number. And they also installed the wrong type of headlight...the 20th come with smoked headlight and they orderd and installed the original one. So i have to wait another week to get my car back.

Fastrack hands down best body shop. They did a spot on job with my nasty rear end accident. The paint matching was unreal way better than i expected. It did take a long time though 2+ months because they're a busy shop but it was worth the wait.

One thing I found annoying about Fasttrack is that they put Fasttrack license plate frames on both the front and back of my car. Didn't realize it until after i drove home.

It's free advertising for them and and although i think they do good work i do not appreciate that they just assume this is OK for them.

Another thing i found very annoying was that when my car was ready to pickup, the receptionist (i believe) called me and was very insistent that i come to pick it up ASAP. This was around 1 PM in the afternoon and i told her I could not just leave work to pick up my car. Initially we had hung up after i convinced her that coming in the next day would be better for me. She later called me back and insisted I come in. I finally relented and left work to pick the car up. I don't understand why they were so insistent that i pick up my car.

Again, I believe Fasttrack does good work. This makes it all the more confusing to had to have experienced what i described above.

Does OP live in the North Burnaby area? This thief had been around for quite some time and there's RCMP reports and finger prints of the suspect.

Do you mean Richmond?
I recommend Tristar Collision also. Our family takes all our cars to them.
They are on Vulcan Way

Yea north Burnaby Pandora triumph area. he broke into my neighbours too. Look like he had a tool also that can disable the alarm and roll down the windows of the newer keyless vehicles. I reported it to the non emergence line but its so hard to catch him though.

What's the story on twinstar? You see some pretty amazing cars in there all the time. But it also kind of sad to see how many need to be fixed lol.
