Figured the show deserved it's own thread considering the majority of the last 2 pages of the Netflix thread is Narcos content.

I finished season 1 last night and think it's been really well made and entertaining so far.



Netflix hasn't committed to a second season but they'd pretty stupid not to do it considering the positive response from fans and critics alike.

Yea I ran through the first season in a couple days, really enjoy it as well. I love that it keeps things character driven without deviating too far from the actual events. I'm hoping that if the series continues that later season dive into the Cartel's history back in Miami, New York and California post Pablo. IE Cocaine Cowboys 1+2 with people like Griselda Blanco and so forth.

I thought Narcos could last longer as a show if it were an anthology series chronicling the rise and fall of notorious drug kingpins (different cast each season). I'm not sure how many seasons they can drag on with only Escobar.

I was waiting for a thread to pop up. After only the first episode, I knew I was hooked!

Surprisingly I binged through it faster than I did HoC

gtreat show. about 5 episodes in. like the fact they kept the narco's etc speaking spanish

Someone told me about this 2 days ago ... already on 9th episode so a good series

I felt they were moving way too fast through actual events in 1 season, they could probably drag out 1 more season with Pablo, but as mentioned, hopefully they turn it into a series about the other crime lords during & post pablo

Almost finished season 1. First couple of episodes in, I was hooked already. Great show.

Binge watched the first 5 episodes last night. The guy playing Pablo does such a good job!

Just finished the series and wanted more so I found this documentary, Sins of My Father, from the perspective of his son

yah thats a good one

there's also that one with benicio del toro, Escobar: Paradise Lost but it's not really about Escobar it's about a character that may or may not be real (director/writer heard about it through an officer)

there's another film titled Escobar coming out next year with Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, it takes the perspective of that female reporter that had the affair with Eescobar

Thanks for recommending, I watched the first 7 episodes yesterday hope to finish it up tonight.

Dont think Cruz is 'street' enough to play Virginia Vallejo aka Valeria.

virginia doesnt look street either, but i think Paz Vega would have been a better choice

great show but things moving too fast. Too much was covered in the first season that given its only about Escobar it could probably only go 1 more.

Great show and looks like Netflix is planing season 2.

finish the season like 1 week ago and now netflix is advertising the show all over youtube ads

thats what i was thinking. how the hell are they going to take it any further? at the end of season one hes already escaped jail and hiding out. after that happened he was alive for only about 6 months or so till he was found and killed.

Fuckkk dat ending, was expecting g another episode not recommend me a new series! Lol

If anyone is interested more in Escobar, check out the ESPN 20 for 20 documentary "the two escobars" probably one of the better doc's of the last 20 years, it's excellent

blew through this in a few days. damn this show was good. i suppose s2 will detail his escape/death for the first half and the follow up for the second half.

have to say i picked up a bit of spanish just watching this show lol

can someone clarify: in the second to last ep where Pablo kills the two men in the prison, did they end up eating the bodies??? it made it seem like it when the guy said "don't waste the meat"...
