You gotta wonder, is this an incremental addition or will it come at the expense of an existing race:

Is it a heat issue from being a fully faired twin? Or is it a heat issue because of the strange exhaust routing? Or both? I've ridden the 959 and it was awful.

My naked twin can overheat a bit in traffic on hot days but nothing like the sportbikes.

I think it's the combination of both. The heat from the rear cylinder/exhaust routing is right between your legs. The fairings seem to duct the heat in the same place when going slow or when the rad fans turn on. Panigales are unbearably hot unless your going 120+.

"Skully Closes Its Doors and Ceases Operations"

Skully Closes Its Doors and Ceases Operations

Zero real tech. No projection, just a small screen based hud. Poorly made helmet (including shell design) from a lower-end Chinese OEM. Electronics not designed for mass production. Programming done by contractors in India. Unable to meet ECE ratings. Didn't even get DOT. What the fuck were these guys doing?

bananana - honestly, riders deserved better than what Skully was going to deliver. I feel terrible for those that lost money though.

Baby GSX-R250 on the way? Possibly:

http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-...217;s-gsx-r250

I love these entry-level sportbikes. While I know they are really intended for developing/emerging markets, I still love seeing them on the road here (RC390, etc.).

Official Honda CBR250RR reveal:

Honda officially reveals CBR250RR | Visordown | The UK's No.1 motorcycle news, reviews and road tests resource

Makes you wonder what the future has in-store for the CBR1000RR and whether the venerable CBR600RR has a future.

This is why I'm seriously considering moving away from Suzuki and the other japanese brands for my next bike. There are no new 600-ish models with the latest tech from the big 4 and also no plans/rumors.... Well apart from the new R6 but I've never been a fan of that bike. Too aggressive as a daily street bike.

Honda OFFICIAL comment: CBR600 is DEAD (for now) and there's NO Hornet 800 on the way! - MoreBikes

Fuck, what am I going to do now if this is the trend going forward? I still want a 600/750 class bike but with manufacturers not investing in them for the foreseeable future, I'm stuck in the past with older models. I really don't need a 1000cc bike because... well I just don't. The other day I was going on hwy 1 and I found myself going 180 before I realized it. So on a 1L bike it would have been faster and I just know it'll get me into a lot of trouble. It sucks that I'm in the minority now. I want a bike with the latest technology (light weight frame design, fresh fairing design, TC, ABS, and so on) but without the 1L engine.

/ rant over

First photos of new Honda Fireblade

I like the current CBR1000RR, but technologically it really pales compared to its current competition (even the SP version).

Given Honda's history with "new" models I do not hold much hope for this new 1k. They have hardly made changes to it from 04. Super small changes made to the function but they made it look nice. So unless Honda pulls off some sort of magic with this one compared to ever other previous update they will flop HARD.

unless the Supersport S' cluster is buried deep, the handlebars look fairly high... in which case I'd rather go back to an 848, or 899. I am a sucker for white bikes though.

It's a Monster with fairings. Looks pretty decent for what it is actually. As long as it's priced similarly to the monster it should sell pretty well.
