OK, where do I start with this??

I LOVE the new look, sleek, current, and they stayed with the traditional single headlamp. And by the looks of it, it looks like it may be back to a projector style?

From the limited info, it looks like the engine is brand new and has VVT now.

As for those new forks, I don't know much about them but they look hella cool

Electronics is one area where Gixxers have been falling behind the competition. So I'm curious to see how their version of TC, anti-wheelie, ABS, and up & down quick shifting stacks up to Ducati & Yamaha.

Gixxers have always been known to be easy to ride especially through corners so it would be a sight to see if this new one is faster than the new R1 and 1299.... and even the S1000RR.

I just hope they incorporate some of this electronic tech and looks into the 600 & 750 soon....

I'm quite curious about it too. I don't know why they ever stopped with the projector headlight. They had it in 03-05 and then stopped. But whyyyyy. I hope they can keep the price a be down though. It's like 5k cheaper than an r1 currently

Most likely it still will be cheapest (ie, least expensive) of the litre bikes.

I think they dropped the projector headlamp because it doesn't spread the light as well as a traditional headlamp. My generation 600 still has projector and at night while cornering I am blind. The light does not do anything through corners, I have to use my high beams, LOL

That's pretty much true with any bike. I think someone needs to rethink the motorcycle headlight.

But anyway, looks like a combination projector/LED setup. And wow that's heavenly.

Possibly big news ...

VW Group prepared to sell Ducati to raise cash? | MCN

I think at this point it's purely speculation. I'm not sure that shedding assets is the best way for VW/Audi to recover form their regulatory mis-steps. But that said, they may be forced into a position where they really need to focus on their core: Volkswagen's sales are collapsing - Dec. 4, 2015

Yamaha's Motobot is getting very serious:

Yamaha Motobot phase 2

Yamaha's Motobot to take on MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi in 2017 | Daily Mail Online

The coolest thing about Motobot is that is is designed to use the human inputs... the robot isn't directly integrated into the bike ... it is still an isolated operator like a human is.

Triumph triumph in 2015 | MCN

Great fiscal year for Triumph.

-significant swing in profitability (net loss to net profit versus PY)
-slightly lower overall revenue
-85% of total units sold internationally (outside of UK)

Triumph's Triumph + The End of the Daytona? -

Maybe not a surprise ... total Daytona unit sales are microscopic compared to the rest of their range. The better ROIC is on the massively popular Street Triples.

Record year for Ducati

Based on monthly sales trending, this probably a isn't a big surprise. Congrats to Ducati!

Great year for bike manufacturers.
