Revscene Automotive Reviews Coming Soon

I'm happy to announce that we will soon be presenting a new automotive review segment. As I'm just starting out and still have my regular job to contend with, it will only be a semi-regular feature. However, before I start writing and publishing them, I'd like to get opinions on what all of you would like to see. Please keep in mind that I don't mean asking for whether it will do backflips over a burning pool, though I'd love to do that at some point. This will start out as a purely written segment, but eventually I plan to add a video supplement portion as well.

Any suggestions on what you'd like to see in the articles?

Automotive reviews on cars which more people can have a realistic chance of buying would be good.

An example would be the Nissan 370Z.

-reviews of attainable sports cars and sedans would be nice.

New or used cars?

My vote goes to the new ILX or TLX with their DSG..

Focusing on new cars for now, but if anyone has an older car they want to lend me, I'd be more than happy to do my own take on it.

And, funny enough, I'll be picking up the TLX in a couple weeks for review.

That new 8 speed on the 2.4 TLX is spectacular, so smooth and fast, makes that car feel way more lively than you'd expect for a heavy-ish car with 200hp and Honda torque.

How about car reviews that can propagate Revscene's inside jokes over the years?

How about the Porsche 911 991.2 to start? and ask does it have turbo?

You should make it like Matt Farah on TheSmokingTire, just need to find some nice driving roads.

Please don't be American style where you praise every single car like the sponsors are listening and never say anything bad about the cars. Drives me crazy reading local and American reviews of cars when they suck corporate cock like that

There are also enough reviews of basically every other type of vehicle out there too. This seems like a waste of Lomac's time and Revscene's space but that's just my $0.02 and that's all it's worth.

Yeah except he shouldn't act, and look like the car version of Guy Fieri.

You should review cars that keep showing up on the Craigslist Good buys thread that are affordable. Stock or lightly modded ones. for example, e46 m3, miatas, g35, 350z, integra type r, sti, evo etc.

I can lend you my s2k if you like for your reviews haha.

I think price-based comparison tests would be interesting.

E.g.

For $20K, S2000 vs G35 vs FRS, etc.
For $35K, '15 GTI vs '13 STI vs ISF

Most car magazines only compare new cars, but I think for many of us, we look at both new and used when we end up buying.
