I found it funny how the wrapped LFA sat alone at the show with no one giving two shits about it. And can't forget to mention the Carrera GT and the SLR772.

It was also nice to see Mahdiar's Liberty Walk 458 and Doczilla's 458 up close even though both cars are not my cup of tea.

Went for the first time this year and thank god for a free VIP ticket. I went up to the LFA twice and both times no one was around it. It was also nice to have ample space and time to look at all the classics. The only downer was when one of the workers told a teenage kid he wasn't going to sit in the Pagani. His exact words were "If you guys want to sit in the car it's not going to happen".

Sorry but most of those cars will easily get smoked by the GT-R so I have been losing interest on them.

Back in the day, Ferrari F40, Jaguar XJ220, Lamborghini Diablo, Bugatti EB110, Isdera Commendatore 112i, Porsche 911 GT1, were all in the different league than the Skyline GT-R or Corvette..but nowadays, meh..

Was busy during the day so couldn't make it down to the actual show this year which sucked but decided to rip down when it was over to catch them all leaving which is borderline better in my opinion anyways. Seeing some of those classics in motion and hearing them is intoxicating, the Spyker was fierce, as were some of the older 911s unfortunately didn't get them because jaw on ground

Highlight was obviously hearing and seeing the Ferrari The Ferrari in the wild. Sorry for the potatoness but shitty broken phone camera is all I had at the time

I was skeptical about this show in years past but decided to take the plunge and go this year and honestly the amount of exotics and supercars cars on display and fact you could sit in them was worth the price of admission. You were allowed to sit in the Huracan, all the Ferrari's except for the LaFerrari and various Mclaren's. It's not everyday you can sit in almost all the supercars out there or see them up close and personal.

Only thing I think they could improve on is the the VIP section which was too crowded and not really worth the price unless you drink (which I don't) because there was plenty of free booze other than that I don't think it was worth paying extra for sample sized food. I didn't get a chance to taste most of the free food, lines were massive but I did however get a couple slices of pizza which was really good and ice cream which was good as well.

and now a jeep grand cherokee will be running the same time as the GTR. what a wacky world we live in.

Quote:
Performance figures we continue to hear do indeed sound absolutely insane, too—nearly unbelievable. With 700 horsepower from the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 and all-wheel drive, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk can supposedly run 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk: 0-60 In 2.7 Seconds, $79,999?

It is actually very easy to see and sit in a Huracan, new Ferrari or a McLaren. Make a trip to the kits dealers and chat with the salesmen. I am sure showing up in the R8 won't make them think you're another kid playing around.

The serious game changer cars at this show can be counted on one hand, and they're not even local cars. They are the cars coming up North after the Monterey Car Week. The rest of the stuff you'll see at dealers. I mean there were 4 918s at the Porsche center in one day, why would I get excited over 2 and pay $50 or $100 to "see" them? lol and that's why I stopped going, despite having had free tickets in the previous years.

With the amazing detail in the Pagani interiors, I`ve never actually paid attention to the audio system until I saw this pic.

Sonus Faber is standard equipment.
That`s worthy of an MS Paint!

You see, when we grew up we were taught that you don`t wait in line for food. My grandparents survived the Nazis and came to Canada very poor, before building a small business empire. So the thought of my grandfather paying for the VIP (he was a big MCL, then FMOV customer) to wait in line for food shows me that this new generation of ``wealthy`` really don`t get it.

Am I wrong to think that way?
Or should the VIP section actually be managed like a VIP section should, with wait staff walking around with platters of hors d`ouvres and flutes of champagne?
