2015 Tokyo Motor Show: Akebono to exhibit world's first 10 pot caliper
Thu, 22 Oct 2015

Akebono Brake Corporation will exhibit the world's first 10 pot caliper at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show in Tokyo Big Sight from October 30 to November 8, 2015.

Akebono concentrates on the know-how of braking technology cultivated in various motorsport activities in developing super-high-performance brake calipers for high-performance production models. It has ultra-high-speed, high-capacity, and high-temperature braking performance, and it makes for less noise.

Aside from introducing braking systems for motorsport activities such as Formula 1, 24-hours endurance races, and motorcycle racing, the Mclaren P1 supercar equipped with an Akebono braking system will also be exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Well, if Ford is coming out with an 11 speed automatic for the f150, might as well put 10 Pistons in a brake calipers.
