Not entirely different than the 2014/2015 hybrid Honda that Marquez ended up on for much of last season...

NEXT WEEKEND!!!!

I should be equally as excited for F1 starting as I am MotoGP... but I'm actually much more excited for MotoGP.

That said - the Rossi vs. the World storyline is tired and I promise I won't post anymore of that late-2015 season nonsense about the world colluding against Rossi...

Race 1 is in the books!!!

Lorenzo has a great race ... Rossi just misses the podium and, WOW, are those factory Ducati bikes fast (in a straight line).

http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/228...-the-race.html

Very interesting article, particularly with respect to the new tyres...

The 28-year-old (Lorenzo), yet to sign a new MotoGP contract with Yamaha as he waits to evaluate an expected offer from Ducati, said: “The fact that I was not very fast in the warm-up, having a lot of problems to keep the pace, looking at Marc [Marquez] who was using the soft tyre and who was faster and faster, made me question myself – which tyre I had to choose.

“Finally, I decided to go with the soft one and usually a soft tyre will be worse at the end of the race, but it was the opposite, it was better and better – not with the sliding because at the beginning of the race I was sliding a lot – but it was impressive in the last few laps.

“Even with the pressure of Andrea [Dovizioso], we made the difference a little bit in the last three laps and finally when Marc [Marquez] passed Dovizioso, the difference was one second and I could breathe a little bit more easily. Winning is much better than one thousand words and today I spoke on the track.”

Those Ducatis are crazy fast on the straight, but to be honest... if races are gonna be like this... this year is going to be boring... always lorenzo at the front and then theres no excitement.

Watching Lorenzo race is like watching old people fuck.

Today's race completely and totally reinforced why MotoGP is one of the most exciting forms of motorsports on the planet.... all I can say is wow!

That conclusion (although very sad for Ducati) had us screaming in excitement...

I'm still trying to comprehend everything that we saw in this race....

Marquez winning, Rossi second, Ducati losing two podium finishes seconds before the end of the race, Lorenzo crashing out ...... just wow!!!

Marquez wins wild Argentina MotoGP race, Lorenzo among crashers - MotoGP - Autosport

Also, as of this moment I don't even know who finished third! Suzuki lost a shot at their first podium since their MotoGP return with like two laps left ... that opened up the window for the Ducatis to storm past Rossi (which they did), who was nervous on his second bike.... they were then seconds away from second and third when they both went down!

Race Finish

1 - Marquez
2 - Rossi
3 - Pedrosa
4 - Laverty
5 - Barbera

***look at those two satellite Ducati teams in the top 5!!! Ironically, as a result of the factory Ducati mishap...

Current Standings

1 - Marc Marquez - 41 pts
2 - Valentino Rossi - 33 pts
3 - Dani Pedrosa - 27 pts
4 - Jorge Lorenzo - 25 pts
5 - Andrea Dovizioso - 23 pts
