As awesome as this is, this probably doesn't perform well going up hills. Also how confident you'd feel going down hills. Other options would be the electric kick scooters, like ecoreco, etwow, inokim, etc. With the ability to actually kick assist up hills and actually have lever brakes to help you stop when blitzing down the hills. These kick scooters have the ability to travel up to 30km an hour with up to 30km range depending on weight and terrain. People use them as transport from home to public transportation like the skytrain, train, bus, then to work and vise versa.
Also note they are not street legal according to icbc. Whether or not the police will enforce it is another story. http://www.icbc.com/about-icbc/newsr...ow-powered.pdf
Motorized kick scooters nor segways are permitted for public use. Ride on your discretion.

there's a social stigma attached to these vehicles. but i think in the near future, everyone will be riding this shit.
In 2025 Buzzfeed will include it on the list of "10 lame gadgets of the 2010's taking up too much room in your closet"

what if you have ride these on stairs, run out of power, avoid other ppl in last min, will using these on the sidewalks be considere as vehicle as you need to be on a bike lane or on the road to use them, will you need a liscense to use them, insurance, etc etc....... what about bringing them on the plane? will it be consider as carry on or you need to check them? Will be even be allow on the planes seeing as the battery they use is over the limit that most airlines allow.
