All LAUSD schools closed after bomb threat called in to board member, police say

All LAUSD schools closed after bomb threat called in to board member, police say - LA Times

All Los Angeles Unified School District campuses were closed Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was called in to board member, police said.

It is unclear when the threat was made and to which school board member, but the situation prompted the LAUSD to close all schools effective immediately, according to the Los Angeles School Police.

Students and staff were directed to stay away from all campuses.

The Los Angeles Police Department was assisting with the threat investigation.

NY officials received same threat as LA, deemed it as hoax

The Los Angeles Unified School District ordered its 640,000 students to stay home Tuesday after a bomb threat, officials of the nation's second-largest school system said. New York City officials said they received the same bomb threat and concluded that it was a hoax, according to The Associated Press.
