not saying it was alright but it was in the evening and assuming the RR was southbound, just coasting down Willingdon Ave with no effort picks up a lot of speed.

From the accident photos, it looks like the RR was coming down Moscrop from Vancouver towards Burnaby and hit the Corolla that was coming down Willingdon.
The RR is in the bushes with the metal rail.

Doesn't matter if it's at night or downhill. 100km/h is just way too much for that patch of road. Especially when any regular will know there's a red light there.

And I think you meant northbound? Metro to BCIT is heading north.

it's like standing on the shoulder on hwy 1 with cars going past you at 100km/h+... now think of that happening at the intersection of moscrop/willingdon. i can't imagine myself even seeing that car coming at me, let alone react. that poor woman never had a chance

My co-worker went to school with the girl, said she isn't surprised that she was involved with this kind of shit at all =/ Too bad it wasn't them that died instead of Emily. RIP

you would think if they were on the run, they would be smarter then to tell the person working at the hotel, that they've been in a car accident. let alone come in all bloody/muddy

Every vehicle has brakes. Speed limits are not suggestions.
