| question: buying a used Excavator
i know this is super far fetch, but i was wondering what should i looking out for/checking when im looking at used Excavator
will be taking a look at one tomorrow

What size? how many hours?
Check all the pins for slop, check the under carriage and see how warn out it is, check the motor for leaks and hydraulic leaks. Run the machine on high idle and see if the hydraulics struggle.

I'd highly recommend having a HD mechanic give it a once over for piece of mind..

Also condition of the tracks, pins and wheels which hold/adjust the track. If it's a rubber track look for tears and rips that could worsen over time.
If it has a thumb on the bucket, make sure those hydraulics are strong because they are stupid $$$ to replace
