This Chinese detergent commercial is getting quite a bit of exposure on the Internet for its racist overtones.

The funny thing about this commercial is when the black guys turns into a Chinese guy because of this "detergent", one body part should shrink too.

I remember this toothpaste when I was in HK, it was always called from direct cantonese translation to be "black guy toothpaste" but I never thought anything about it as the picture was always a two tone picture with a guy in a top hat.

That other commercial above where the white guy turned black, it had almost zero media coverage. Why is this new commercial getting so much attention?

The racism in the Chinese add is effectively saying black ppl are dirty (not desirable), the Italian one, whilst still racist is suggesting "colored" are better - calling people of African heritage colored is racist (or at least very very non P.C.).

Which is worse? The connotations associated with the Chinese add are worse, as they're indicating a people are worse than another.
