Michalek is definitely a 3rd pair guy at this point. If he's in your top 4 when your lineup is healthy, that's not a good sign.

Edler isn't going anywhere unless he requests a trade. Like almost all Swedes they don't like moving around once they set roots.

I wouldn't trade either Tanev or Edler unless the plan is to tank again. They've been very good as a duo for the past 2 seasons.

If we had to trade one, it would be Edler as Tanev is simply much better (and grossly underrated; why do people keep mentioning him as trade bait? It's insane especially when you consider you'll never get fair value for him because he isn't flashy and isn't a marketable asset).

What I'm saying is that I don't think there will be any middle ground with this team. They won't be fighting for the 8th playoff spot come April.

I'm surprised nobody picked up Higgins. Decent bottom 6 guy at the right price.

As long as it's not too big. Hard to stay in good shape as the season goes on anyways, so might as well start off bit bigger than you like.

One positive thing with the Canucks lately is that manny was at the fishing trip. It would be fucking awesome for him to be back with the organization.
