^ while I agree with a lot of that, when the Sedins retire management will have a lot of cash to spend and decent prospects to offer for replacements if the kids aren't ready.
I'm a little more optimistic than most I suppose.

Watching these games (Toronto v Ottawa and Edmonton v Calgary) makes me sad... we have never had anyone, besides Bure, in our entire history with even half the excitement inducing abilities of a Matthews or a McDavid. 40+ years and only ONE player even close to being that dynamic.
I know what you mean. But don't forget, we also got to see some of the best plays with the Sedins in their prime. Not too many teams had 2 players with chemistry like that.

We've seen it before. Guess he can only do it against one team.
Sedins are amazing in their own right. Sometimes we have to appreciate their hockey IQ and paired with the fact that they are not the quickest or flashiest players, they make up for with IQ
However. Daniel would prove us wrong... Still one of the most magnificent plays I have seen
The sedins will always have potential for 50-60 points til they're 40. Their strong IQ doesn't require a lot of speed and intensity even if they've lost a step. I just see them having trouble on the back check now. Hopefully they take 2nd line money when their contracts expire to help out the team.
I miss Bieksa on the team. The guy was a leader and team player. He was willing to be aboard the tank train too.
He would be a good third pairing guy behind Tanev and Gudbranson.
I love the guy especially for what he brought on and off the ice, but no way does he belong on the Canucks top 6 right now. He is a shell of his former self, and on the Ducks team he's barely a 3rd pairing d man (and that's without a top 4 guy like Lindholm in the lineup to take a spot).
When an 18yo Sam Bennett outplayed him in the corners in the playoffs, you saw that he was close to done. It's still a wonder how JB got what he did for him in the trade.
i never liked him on the ice, always thought he made stupid plays and got outplayed by everyone. Guy got carried hard by the top 2 offensive line back in the days when burrows, keslar, sedins were in their prime
off the ice, a really great person

I honestly cannot see anyone beating Buffalo in the tank wars this year
I know we're poorly managed but Buffalo just fucking sucks now without Eichel or Kane for possibly months.

Yah and then JB flipped that 2nd pick in the Sutter trade
Ultimately it was Bieksa, Forsling and Bonino for Sutter.

Sam Bennett was suppose to be the first pick overall if it wasnt for injury
Auston Matthews stripped erik karlson's puck on his first game and score a goal, hes probably close to done too
