just stay away from products that are owned, designed, manufactured and sold in China.

as for the honda fit i'm not sure. i thought i read somewhere it was from both japan and mexico, depending on where you are in north america.

Fits were made in Japan until the end of 2009. Then, they started making them in China. That really didn't go over well with consumers. Although nothing really bad came from being made in China, they started to make them in Mexico up until now. However, now that the HRV, which is built on the Fit platform and also made in Mexico, is doing well, sales wise, they were planning on making Fits for NA over in Japan again. This was the latest I heard........perhaps it's old news and perhaps it didn't happen. I'm no longer interested in buying another Fit, so not that up-to-date.
