Removing strong odor

Hi everyone. Would really appreciate any useful tips to solve this issue.

My car is 16 years old and had the 'old car smell'. So i had the bright idea of getting an air vent cleaning spray from a local shop. The product is Wurth Quick Fresh and it's a spray that u circulate through the vents.
I followed the instructions on the bottle exactly.

Now the car has a very strong soapy perfume-like smell. It's so strong that it makes me sneeze and gives me headaches. My passengers complain as well.
I contacted the manufacturer and they were absolutlely no help. They gave me some useless suggestions and said that i should try febreze or one of their other products that seem very hard to find.

Anyway, it's been several weeks and I've tired quite a few things. Does anyone have any 'tried and tested' tips on how to remove this sort of odor?

Thanks in advance.

Can't vouch for car interior, but have you thought of giving these a try?
Plenty of various ones at Daiso 2nd (upper) floor. For $2 bucks...worth a try:

I have tried the baking soda version but it doesn't do anything. I will try these as well.

I've aired the car out plenty. Driven on the highway with windows rolled down and let the car sit with windows down.

The original smell was a sort of moldy smell and kinda musky. Not as bad as the new smell created by the wurth product.

Cheers

Check your door sills for leaks.

U change ur cabin filter? There is a product I've seen you spray it directly into your vents or the drain for your heater core (I cant remember which one) but it's like a foam and it eats all the cap of your ac condenser but I don't know if it's a available in Canada. The stuff I used in my van it worked great it's called powair it's a natural deodorizer made from essential oils it smells great and is the only thing that worked for me and I tried the same kind of product u used. I got powair from Vancouver auto color in burnaby.
