Ebony White with black stripes.

It was a Demo Car (GM's assistant was driving), 4,000km.

I have the choice to remove the stripes if I don't like it, at no cost.....

I'm curious on how the ecoboost will stack up. I know it's quite a bit lighter at the nose and the power can be raised easily with some mods.

I never drove the GT model, so unfortunately I can't comment on that. I initially went to Chevrolet to test the Camaro, but when I sat in it, I couldn't get used to the low visibility and super tight cock pit setup lol...

Apparently COBB has accessports available, but I won't plan on modding it .......

yet.

I was looking at the new SS V8 camaro as well, but I didnt see a single one in the flesh at the show room.......

Im a bit hesitant to buy cars without sitting in the actual car and soaking it all in.

not to mention, a SS Camaro was close to 7k more...... along with year 1 of production of the new body....

I did drive an ATS with the turbo, and that car is a far superior driver's sedan than the current 3 series..... they weren't kidding when the engineers benchmarked the old E46!

I went in to buy a 2015 Camaro SS. I thought people were exaggerating about the visibility. I got in and it felt like 30% of the windshield was missing. I'd be very nervous navigating that car in Vancouver.
Plus the salesman didn't want to order me the car I wanted and wanted to sell me what they had (no thank you).

Did you test the '16? If so, is it similar in visibility?

I guess you'd develop a pretty swole neck from ducking to see the lights though.

yeah i can barely see out of it. I already struggle to estimate how long the hood of the Mustang is......... and the camaro is worse.

Funny enough, Holden did this 10 years ago when they developed the VE Commodore (Pontiac G8).

They hired on a bunch of ex-BMW engineers who worked on the E39 & E60 cars. Then they bought a brand new 550, stripped it down, studied it and ended up with the VE Commodore which scored better than the BMW in all areas except interior quality. Most didn't care about that though since the car was $25,000 cheaper than its BMW equivalent.

But brand loyalty is brand loyalty and that can't be so easily scrubbed from the public eye.

ATS with 2.0T, 6M, and Trifecta tune

On topic: Seeing a ton of new Mustangs on the street. Hell, seeing a lot of new Fords on the street. My brother bought a 2017 Fusion Sport. Didn't know anything about it till I drove it and read the spec sheet.

You might want to think twice about going with an AP. 2 months ago, they took away accesstuner from the average joe customer.
COBB Tuning ? Accesstuner Updates : Where did ATR Go!?

as much as people dislike mustangs, but the new one is basically this:

was driving company car last night around town and saw more than a dozen within a span of two hours on the road.

The ecoboost mustang could be the "240sx" that we never got when you really think about it.... (huge engine bay, turbo 4 cylinder, rwd, stick, standard LSD)

Honestly, I never ever thought about owning an American car, less a mustang lol. I was always an import kinda guy and the euros were a little too pricey for me. That was until I started seeing the new stangs that caught my attention. Then I started reading the reviews, doing comparisons, and BAM.

Got myself one lol.

Now if only Ford could reduce the weight like they did with the Camaro....
I'm pretty sure few years down the road, they'll find some way to perform weight reduction and compete with the likes of the sti, GTI curb weights.

A lot of fun cars are considered "girl's cars". Like the MX-5 miata. But car guys know a smaller, lightweight car is great fun.

This is a bit OT, but I don't understand the GT350R hype when an extremely comparable car exists with a much lower price tag - The Z/28 Camaro.

You can buy two Z/28 Camaro's for the price of one GT350R.
