Planet Earth II

:tears:

will be aired in 4K
wonder how many television sets were sold because of the original series

DragonChi 10-16-2016 06:58 PM

Yeah I got a 1080p set just to watch Life. well anything in 1080p.

Definitely going to pick up a 4k set for this one! Heard that it was coming out in 4k a few months ago and was totally stoked.

Just watched the trailer. You know the epic hype that happened in 2005-2009 ish? This is going to be the same thing.

twitchyzero 10-16-2016 08:44 PM

correction: no word on 4k broadcast...but i'm sure it'll come out in UHD blu-ray

DragonChi 10-16-2016 08:52 PM

I don't know if the quality will be as good streamed. Pure unadulterated blu-ray discs will be the proper way to watch this series.

We are so lucky to be living in such an amazing and beautiful planet and yet each passing day we are destroying it and its species.

Gumby 10-17-2016 11:27 AM

Yeah while watching the trailer, I couldn't help but wonder "does this still exist, or have we wrecked it already?"

6o4__boi 10-17-2016 11:40 AM

hahahaha i remember buying the first one for my ex-gf

she wanted it for the hype, I wanted it for Planet Earth and Chill
:ifyouknow:

blkgsr 10-17-2016 02:21 PM

can't wait for this to come out. their new methods of filming will be unreal

Armind 10-17-2016 02:43 PM

When will it be on Netflix? :alonehappy:

twitchyzero 10-17-2016 03:07 PM

yeah we know it's shot in at least 4k
BBC hasn't aired anything in that resolution yet...aside from the queen's speech 2 years ago.

for sure blu-ray will be the way to go

So what kinds of climates did you encounter? Dry deserts, or tropical rainforests? ;)

RickyTan3 10-20-2016 02:10 AM
