I have a 93 civic and when i turn on the wiper it sometime goes dead. But all i have too do is push the wiper blades in the wiping direction and they start to work again. Is the wiper arm bolt on too tight or is it something else?

maybe loose wiring?

I don't think it's loose wiring.........if it was wiring then it's wouldn't work when i push the wiper's. Oh too add, the wiper problem started when i replaced my front windsheild, and they installed new wipers.

worn out relays? mine does that too, but if i push down on the lever (quick wipe) it still works. seems to happen only when its cold.

the intermittent wipe wont work either till the car is warm

Could be the relay's then.......i tried my wiper's on all the setting and it still didn't work. I even turned on the windshield cleaner and it still didn't work.

Just changed the wiper blades with telon one's. It seemed too work better, but it still stop's working sometimes. I asked my friend and he said the wiper motor might be overheating. Do i need too change the motor or any other alteranative?

COuld be a relay or the wiper motor. I had the motor go on my truck and thats what happened. I'd push it and it would start going again until eventually it just died and I had to replace the wiper motor.

similar thing happens to me. they don't get stuck when they are on "high", but when on low/intermitten, they always get stuck. PM me if you figure out a solution!
