er.. isn't it pure common sense to do an ICBC/lien check on ANY and ALL used vehicles?! does anyone actually trust the word of a car salesman?

ICBC checks will not save u if a)car is from out of province, and b)repaired privately/not thru ICBC...

especially with all the shady wrecks coming in from ontario, etc... up the creek w/o a paddle comes to mind :o

I think most of Daewoo's shit (literally) comes from auctions out east. Someone piss on their doorhandle for me next time they're out that way.

a while back i went to check out a 99 white type R
the salesman was saying it was babied, and its clean.
first impression was, he was rite it was clean, no scratches.
then i asked for icbc report and the whole page was filled up with claims.. the car was totally stripped, and many collisions.
i added up the claims then look at their sale price and ya just walked out the door.

ahah same type R i wanted...
99 ..wite... i believe it was askin for like 26xxx or sumthing

Is it really that hard to run a vin check on every car you buy?
