did your friend sign up at 12 service as well? did you call downtown or 12 service? if the answer to both question is 12 service... pm me your name, i'll tell the recruiter to do something. man sometimes i think i should be in recruiting. if you called downtown, and your friend got contacted by downtown recruiting center, then i can't do much about it, they're seperate from my unit and you just have to be more annoying and call more often haha :p

yeah cant go wrong with veh tech. i hang out with those guys almost as much as i hang out with the mse ops. although honestly, if weapons tech did more stuff, i'd totally want to be that.

yeah, i don't have hookups. but i have info. basically they're located at jericho garrison, which is along 4th avenue by the beach kinda. you probably already know where it is.

ok sorry to dug up this old thread. I applied a few years back but never finish my whole application process. I'm serious this time around and I want to try again. Last time I applied at the richmond unit, I don't mind checking out other units if they have more openings. Check all the links and website in all the post almost all of the reserves related links is dead. is there new links or has all the reserve sites been canned?:o

You won't be able to check out most bases until the olympics are over, they're all sealed off for operational purposes, but I'm sure the recruiting centre downtown is still open.

Recruiting centre moved from downtown on West Georgia to another place in New West.

what jobs are found in the vancouver area? are they any tech jobs? like ED tech, land comms or line tech etc. is there any naval here?

CFB Esquilmalt would be your best bet for Naval stuff since Vancouver really doesn't have any ships. You'd have to go onto the island for that kind of stuff.

Majority of positions here are for the Army side so anything to do with infantry, artillery, medics and service, located in the GVA.

the recuiting centre deals with reserves too? few yrs back when i started my app they told me to go to individual units to sign up for reserves. also does any one know how long the army keep application files?

You go to the individual units to get the application and your app would be forwarded to the recruiting centre.
