Pretty good turnout for a change but TONS of people I don't know. |
It's the new generation. |
Hell Steve, compared to me YOU'RE the new generation but yeah, me and Lou are the oldtimers there and every year there's a fresh crop of young auto enthusiasts. |
I'll be coming out with the Cruiser tonight. I have to pick up a sub box from a fellow rs'er. I'm thinking of also hooking up the sub+amp I just built and testing it out :) |
ah man.. wish i coulda came out to see you guys. So a little update from Cold Lake, well.. I lost my license, might loose the car too (default on financing), over 10g's in fines (military and civilian sides), insurance once i get my license back will be at 300% surcharge for 3 yrs.. well.. I really really really wish I stayed in Victoria. All of this, due to one double and one single rum and coke.. hmmmm, my bad |

:p Actually, lots of new cars. |
So as a few people know who were at timmies, I was concerned about my shifter bouncing around in the miata. Well when I left, I got just past wal mart on the island highway when I started to hear this loud clinking sound. I got up to the Tillicum intersection and when I stopped in the left turn lane, the noise went away. As soon as I start turning left, the noise comes back. I then hear a big clink and a rolling sound. I limp the car home and find that I'm missing a bolt that bolts the rear of the transmission to the power plant frame. The second bolt is backed half way out. So I get the car on ramps, tighten the one remaining bolt, and then drove back to the esso at Tillicum/Island Highway. My bolt was sitting in the middle of the intersection, so once traffic cleared I was able to run and salvage it. Unfortuanetly it had been run over a few times, so a socket won't fit over it, but a regular wrench worked fine. So I drove back home, put the car back on ramps, put the bolt in, and am now typing this message :p what a night :) Oh and excuse the picture of me, I'm tired out of mind. http://www.dbmiata.com/mx5/bigbolt1.jpg http://www.dbmiata.com/mx5/bigbolt2.jpg |
BAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA Oh god... that was way too funny. Details when I wake up... or someone else posts first. |
LOL! Do you count the cop cars as new cars? Our scene turned sour pretty quick there eh guys? |
