Once again langley dem bones was fucking terrible both times I tried it. You should not have to knaw the meat off the bone, it should fall off.

A lot of people also like a bit of chew and don't like the mushy, fall-apart meat you get from boiling. Also, boiling results in loss of flavour, I think.

Tony Romas downtown has been shut down, Dem Bones in Richmond has shut down. Where else can you go for good ribs besides Memphis Blues, in and around Vancouver/Burnaby/ and Richmond areas?

ChiGGs 08-12-2008 11:06 PM

^ I never was a fan of Tony Romas...they overcooked my ribs last time. Though this place isn't known for their ribs, but Joey Tomatos on Lougheed has always cooked good ribs. Never had any troubles with them, ever.

If u guys ever go to the states.. u must try CHILI's for their ribs.. it's so juicy and succulent..

Death2Theft 08-14-2008 12:21 AM

white_solara 08-14-2008 09:33 AM

I saw that. I think it was added a month ago. I've been meaning to give them a go, but 8 bucks is a hefty sum for lunch. Dinner, perhaps!

Cost almost as much to make a single serving yourself.
Plus the time and effort...

I was at costco 3 weeks ago with my gf and i heard one of the cooks say they sold out of the ribs. One of the employees asked him how many they sold the cook said they sold around 90 something ribs

MEMPHIS harsh sucks for ribs. i would rather have cactus club ribs. I'm a rib kinda guy and I would say memphis is way on the bottom of my list

willystyle 08-19-2008 12:42 AM

I dunno why so many people rave about Memphis, maybe they've never had good BBQ before, but yah, the stuff there is pretty gross. Their platters there are OK, the chicken is always dry and overcooked, the only thing that's decent is probably their fatty brisket, and even that feels like it's gonna clog ur arteries after eating it..

Manic! 08-19-2008 02:05 AM

memphis blues and Montana's ribs are pretty poor imo.

Boston pizza has some really good ribs, it's even better when they have Ribragous $15.95 for a full rack.

Costco is also selling ribs at there cossesion stand. $7.99 for a half rack I think. Have not tried it yet but will be soon.

If your willing to spend some time you can make some good ribs at home too.

ocyrus411 08-19-2008 07:09 PM

memphis blues is great for ribs
theres 1 on commercial and 1 on lonsdale

TGIF Fridays in metropolis has good Ribs (my little secret) and I also enjoy ribs at Joey's!

ChiGGs 08-20-2008 09:23 AM

^ Yes, Joey's. I've said it once and I'll say it again....ive had ribs more than a dozen times tehre and never once did they screw up the ribs.

I'm surprised to hear that TGIF made good food....I really don't like most of their stuff...but good to hear that their ribs are good

Durrann1984 08-20-2008 12:23 PM

theres a place called woody's pub
on brunette ave and lougheed hwy

on wednesdays they have ribs for 7.95 and theres a side of mash potatoes if i remember correctly

the ribs are decent but for its price its a scorre..

on friday its PRIME rib for $12.75

not bad..not bad. at all..

Pinoy_Crx 08-21-2008 04:00 PM

hahah been to woodys couple time cant beat the price

Manic! 08-24-2008 01:48 AM

Had Costco ribs a few days ago. For $8.34 you a half rack, fries and a drink. The ribs were cooked well but they were under sauced and didn't have a BBQ flavor a brown crunchy crust. The BBQ dipping sauce was too sweet for me and was too cold because it was kept in the fridge. Over all there good for a quick cheap fix fast.

I will be BBQing some ribs tomorrow.

Applebees' sucked big time.
