Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes. Owns the ice cream/BBC brand. Sponsored the skate clique that Terry was with a few years back. Single-handedly popularized the skate culture among blacks in the states. Back in the days of Mike Frazier, there were no blacks in the X Games whatsoever.

Oooooh Lobb's! I've got a few pairs of Crockett & Jones, but seeing that I don't work right now don't have any incentive for JL's -- next year I shall own knee high Lobb's!

C&J shoes are awesome. They will be next on my list...I've been saying that for awhile but I always slip up and buy something I see in person. The handgrades are beautiful. I hear the best place to buy them is Plal.com - probably the best prices you can get.

It's nice to see you two list dress shoes which aren't aldo:haha:

A secret about John Lobb: If you buy Hermes shoes that are "Made in England," they are made by John Lobb for about 75% of the price. Very few Hermes boutiques carry the full shoe line. I bought a pair from Munich last year and they are gorgeous. So technically, I have 3 pairs of Lobbs. :)

Nice. It's almost a game trying to figure out who makes shoes for whom. From my understanding RL purple label also uses JL for their shoes? Or it might be Edward Green. I think the Dunhill shoes are made by Alfred Sargent? Too bad AS is going out of business.

I live in London so am quite blessed to be in the land of hand-made shoes. If you're ever in the money, I suggest getting a pair of George Cleverly's -- they are simply stunning. I find most of the Churchs/Greens, etc., have pretty ugly styling, but really love C&Js and Cleverly.

Lucky bastard! I've been jonesing for a pair for some time. I've always wanted a bespoke suit from Savile row :drool

I seriously doubt RL purple label would use John Lobb. JL is a little more upscale to RL purple label. I haven't checked out the RL purple label shoes, but I'm going to conjecture they're made in Italy. Lobb makes for Hermes because Hermes bought JL a couple of years ago.

When you finally start working I shall take you out to dinner. If you wear knee high Lobb's, I will pretty much take you anywhere you want to go.

Oooh, those George Clevely's do look good. When I was last in London, I went shopping along Jermyn street. I bought a belt from JL and some shaving gear from Floris. Unfortunately, my shopping trip was cut short by some idiot parking warden that thought 30 seconds was enough of a grace period for my rental Golf. Apparently aSTL40 parking ticket does not give you the right to park at that spot for the next couple of hours either.
