IMO it depends on ur intentions. If you black out the front just to make other people think you have an Evo, then you're a "wanna be". However, the front end of the lancer does look a lot better if its blacked out. If you're just doing so because you actually admire the aesthetics, I don't think that's being a "wanna be" If you put the "Evolution" badge on your Lancer, then that's clearly being a "wanna be".

I spotted a ej 92-95 civic yesterday around 5 pm headed east on Steveston. It was black, lowered, on steelies, shaved back emblem, fart can exhaust, with aftermarket tail lights that weren't flush with the body. Seems like your average ricer, was gonna take a picture, but i got mesmerized by the fact that he had an OEM milano red hood on with hood pins :haha: hope someone has a picture of it.
