bolt pattern was the same but the center bore was a little off, my mechanic kept telling the guy it was a stupid idea but he kept saying he was going to get it fixed later and they argued for awhile and finally the guy offered a extra 40 buks to do it and so my mechanic did lol

Jgresch 04-04-2011 02:50 PM

so the wheel wasn't even on then? just barley held on by the lugs? Cuz the bore of the g wheel won't fit over the hyundai hub lol

donjalapeno 04-04-2011 02:53 PM

basically lol i dont know if he ended up keeping them on or not afterwards.

!Aznboi128 04-04-2011 02:54 PM

that's pretty fail a good mechanic would not do that even if he received 100 bucks

Nissan = 66.1
Hyundai = 67.1

The only ghetto, cheap way to get those wheels on would be to take a die grinder to the centres. I know I wouldn't bother with it if I owned a shop.

Hell, I did a winter rim swap on a friend's car yesterday (to OEM wheels) and spent extra time cleaning corrosion off each hub (wire brush/anti-seize) so the wheels would fit without forcing them on when I tightened the lugs.

I don't really care if someone up-sized their wheels from one manufacturer to another....whatever, just change the centre caps. But I would laugh my ass off if I knew they didn't fit right and they just told the shop, "Yeah, just tighten the shit out of them." Then come back 10 minutes later going, " Uh, why do my wheels feel all wobbly when I drive down the road?"

donjalapeno 04-04-2011 05:49 PM

yeah lol my mechanic supposably argued with him for awhile about it but the guy just wanted it done no matter what. I dont know what happend afterwards, i just took pics of the wheel on and left.
