I vote 240 for ruckus or Miata because they're unbeatable, every other car on that list sucks. |
Miata's kickass at AutoX.. that's all I have to say. |

well i assume by cheap you mean. What decent RWD can i get for less than say 5 grand..... correct? It depends what you want to do realy.. Drag race? autocross? etc. drifting? HAH. nissan 240s are pretty cheap/kinda.. a little bit of a mark up with the "mad tyte" drifter wannabes merkurs are queer looking( i own 3) but fast and cheap, and they handle well with stiff springs Mustangs fox bodies, well,, lets just say their strength is for straight line. but they arent exactly cheap for one 5.0 in good shape. 510s you can pick up a nice one with little rust and a few mods for 5 grand or less with a pretty much stock one. neat car, handle well, light Rx7s Fcs and FBs are awsome cars for the money, they are light, good for drag racing and auto cross, good brakes.. cheap.. i think the Rx7 is an awsome chassis. anyhow i forget all the others that are mentioned. good luck! |

edit: lol, just saw a diagram of the mustang's rear end... I'm speechless. I'm not chassis engineer, but it seems to me that if they had used parallel links with a panhard rod, it would have been cheaper and provided considerably better squat and allowed for proper articulation. As it stands the upper and lower control arms are facing different directions... which unless you're running ridiculously soft bushings would bind like crazy over every bump, or around every corner. Probably explains every fox mustang I've driven felt sloppy as a bag of shit (fun to drive though) . |
VW bug - can be cheap if you don't mind rust. |
