When I was there, we had a lot more time in the shop, but still, it would take days to get something as simple as a mirror to get painted.

Only $600? at VCC they say they only charge for materials but last complete I saw in the shop was like $2000.
When i looked through the work sheet, they were charging an hourly rate(from estimated time) from body, and paint for the materials.

im starting my vcc for autobody in a few days hopefully iget to paint my car :)

Yes, they still are big on PPG. They do mostly water-based now.
$600 is pretty good, considering how waterbase paint is pretty expensive. When I went to BCIT like 7-8 years ago, they were charging $500 for a complete paintjob.

You also have to realize its a bunch of students working on your car not pro's, which is really the main reason why it will take a while. They need directions on EVERYTHING.

I would park by the park for free everyday. Or you can pay $4 for parking. Your choice.

you in lvl 1 ? was it alot of book work/home work?

I'm just about done lvl 2. first half is where you will be doing most of the book work.
You will be doing about 50% shop, 50% class in lvl 1.
you start week after this? My last last will be the tuesday or the wednesday there.
If you see a guy with the RS lanyard, thats me.

^ Its cake. I'm there tomorrow also but my class is going to be heading to abbotsford in the morning to set up for skills canada which is on wednesday.
